For Wes Anderson’s newest film, the whimsical director is creating a new stop-motion animated feature. Instead of focusing on the fantastic lives of foxes, this one is going to the dogs.

Isle - Dogs - Place - Future - Japan

Isle of Dogs takes place in a dystopian future in Japan, where the nation’s dogs are being quarantined on a trash-filled island over fears of the dreaded canine flu.

And while dog flu is real and serious, it certainly isn’t a reason to evict your pet. A boy, Atari Kobayashi, knows this to be true, and works to retrieve his faithful furry companion from the island with the help of a rag-tag group...
