If a region isn’t used to prepping roads and homes for snow, even a few inches can be dangerous.

Even in places where the snow accumulation is a little less unusual, winds and frozen rain could knock out power and make it perilous to go outside. And again, it will be way colder than residents of the East Coast are accustomed to. These are all great reasons to limit your exposure to the storm.

Point - Fact - Bomb - Cyclone - Play

The point is: the fact that there's a bomb cyclone in play doesn't mean this entire storm system is going to be explosive (sorry). A lot of blizzards feature bomb cyclones. As is the case with any winter storm, your results may vary.

Ideally, no one will freak out at all. But you should absolutely keep an eye on your local forecasts to know how much you need to prepare.
