And Liam Neeson proved he was just as much the off-screen knight as he visited children at the Ronald McDonald House in New York on Wednesday.

The Irish actor, 65, posed with the sweet youngsters, before getting into the festive spirit and handing out presents.

Clad in jeans and a casual blue bomber the Schindler's List star was seen signing autographs before chatting to the little ones.

Patients - Action - Hero - Poses - Selfies

He then posed alongside patients in mock action hero poses, making for impressive selfies.

And not forgetting hospital staff, he went for a tour of the hospital before taking a group shot.

Liam - Career - Favour - Charity - Work

Liam has been slowing his career down in favour of charity work.

In a recent interview, the actor said that he plans to stop even though it's hard to turn down the lucrative offers he gets thanks to his box-office success in the three 'Taken' films, as well as other thrillers. Neeson believes he's simply getting too old to be an action hero.
