NFL finalizes contract extension with embattled commissioner Roger Goodell who could make $200million over the five-year agreement

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has signed his contract extension after Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spent several weeks trying to thwart the deal.

The deal is said to be for five years and could be worth as much as $200 million, assuming the NFL reaches all of its financial targets, according to Ken Belson of The New York Times.

League - Compensation - Committee - Letter - Owners

The league's compensation committee sent a letter to owners on Wednesday, according to multiple reports, which stated that the 'binding contract extension has been signed by the Commissioner and by Arthur Blank, on behalf of the League entities.'
