This is potassium permanganate poured into a hydrogen peroxide solution.  The purple chemical is reacting with oxygen atoms from the hydrogen peroxide and changing into something colorless. When all the oxygen is used up, the whole solution turns purple.  You can then calculate exactly how much was peroxide.   Chemistry is definitely cool!
