A North Carolina air traffic controller was one of two suspects arrested after being found in possession of a homemade pipe bomb.

FBI agents confirmed Paul Dandan, 30, was taken into custody Friday at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

Police first responded to call from a neighbor last week in Charlotte citing an individual who had been holding an explosive device.

Dandan was arrested while working at the airport after authorities found the pipe bomb as well as other weapons inside his home.

It was later confirmed the bomb had been built by Dandan's roommate, Derrick Fells, 39, to be used in an alleged attack 'against a neighbor,' according to WCNC.
