It's been almost a year since California mom Sherri Papini was brutally kidnapped from her home, beaten and branded before being dumped on a highway on Thanksgiving morning.

The incident was so traumatic that it's only now that Papini, who has been living as a recluse since her abduction, has been able to describe her attackers to a forensic sketch artist.

'It - Time - Sherri - Point - Accurate

'It has taken time for Sherri to recover to a point to be able to provide accurate details to the sketch artist,' the Shasta County Sheriff's Office said in news release. 'The sketches then needed to be finalized and approved for release by the FBI.'

She told police that her kidnappers, both Hispanic women, had taken care to cover their faces but she was still able to describe them in surprising detail.

The first woman was aged between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with curly dark hair, thin eyebrows and pierced ears, she said. Anyone who recognizes either woman is urged to call the police.

Papini said the women were driving a dark-colored SUV with a 'large rear side window' when she was abducted.

'Sherri continues to look at photographs of various makes and models of SUV's in an effort to provide a more detailed description,' the sheriff's office said.

Papini disappeared while she was out jogging near her home in Redding, California, on November 2, 2016.

Her husband Keith made a number of frantic calls to the cops telling them he'd returned home but his wife wasn't there.
