It is apparent that many Americans harbor an intense dislike for members of the media, but rest assured that such enmity is not exclusive to the United States alone.
Reuters reported this week on an incident that occurred Wednesday in Moscow’s Gorky Park, in which an irate, drunk Russian man utterly clobbered a reporter with a punch to his jaw during a live report.

The journalist for Russian state-run media outlet NTV, Nikita Razvozzhayev, was in the popular park covering the Russian military-themed celebration of Airborne Troops Day, a holiday that honors current and former paratroopers in the Russian military.
According to The U.K. Telegraph, the drunk man walked up beside Rzvozzhayev while he was in the middle of a live report and shouted at the correspondent drunkenly, allegedly proclaiming, “This is our country! We will conquer Ukraine!”

The reporter calmly asked the man to be quiet and back away, but the drunk man’s response was simply to deck the reporter in the jaw, sending him staggering to the side while holding his face.
The broadcast quickly switched back to the studio where a rather stunned looking anchor stated there were “problems” with the live report and that she hoped that her colleague was okay.
