When Captain Pruitt of the Callista Marie saw a nearby fishing boat 's stern sinking low in the water, he pulled close and asked what was wrong.  The other boat, The Grayling, was a commercial fishing vessel fishing in the Kupreanof Strait near Raspberry Island, close to the western Alaskan city of Kodiak when it started taking on water.  Captain Pruitt called the Coast Guard and began towing the Grayling to shore in the rough seas.  The Grayling began to capsize and some of the crew fell into the 47 degree ocean.  The captain of the Grayling heroically jumped into the water and rescued two of his crew members in an impressive feat, and the crew of the Callista Marie rescued an additional crew member.  All in all, an exciting day at sea in a perilous occupation!
