The talk show The Doctors made headlines after airing a segment where the hosts claim that the best way to find the perfect nude lipstick shade for your skin tone is by matching it to the color of your nipples.

Male beauty vlogger James Charles was curious about whether the trick actually works, so naturally he put it to the test and documented the whole thing on his YouTube channel.

Clearly many others are curious too, because the video has racked up over 350,000 views in three days.

For the test, he grabbed ten of his favorite nude lipstick shades and swatched them around his nipples.

Lip - Color - Color - Matches

Once every lip color was swatched and dry, he compared them to his nipple color and chose the three closest matches.

Making the list was Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow (a fawn nude), Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Liquid Lipstick in Daddy (a cool-toned brown) and Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Pasadena (a mauve pink-brown).

'These three shades are honestly some of my favorite nudes of all time and they did look really good, so I feel like this test is kind of a complete success,' James concludes at the end of the video....
