Love at first sight! Wonky-faced dog who was attacked as a puppy finally gets a loving new home

They say some have a face only a mother could love.

But for a dog attacked by its mother as a puppy and left with a wonky face the opposite seems to be true.

Brodie - Shepherd - Border - Collie - Set

Brodie the German Shepherd Border Collie has a unique slanted set of features following the attack by his mom when he was just 13 days old.

She bit the puppy's head causing severe cranial and facial injuries. The lasting damage meant that Brodie's jaw fused together as he grew but the left side of his face was stunted and he is partially blind in one eye.

Rescue - Dog - Home - Hundreds - People

The rescue dog has now found a loving new home after hundreds of people wanted to adopt him.

New owners Amanda Richter, 30, and boyfriend Brad Ames, 23, said it was 'love at first sight' when they saw Brodie's picture online.

Richter told Yahoo News: 'I looked at his photos every day and even cried a few times. We felt drawn to him for some reason.'

The shelter said hundreds of people had come forward to adopt the unusual-looking dog but that Richter and Ames were the right owners for Brodie.
