Patty Jenkins Says She Has The Future Of ‘Wonder Woman’ “Mapped Out” Including A Possible Amazonian Spin-Off

Over the weekend, director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot took a trip to Brazil and debuted the first “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer at CCXP. And while there, Jenkins spoke (via Deadline) about the future of the franchise and a potential spin-off focusing on Diana’s homeland.

According to the filmmaker, the idea of where the future of “Wonder Woman” goes is already “mapped out.” And yes, that includes a possible spin-off film about Themyscira. But don’t go penciling in the film into your calendars. Just because there’s interest doesn’t mean there’s definitely going to be a film.

“We already have it all mapped out — it’s just a matter of will we change our minds and when,” said Jenkins. “I think what we don’t want to do is do it back to back. It’s been great doing these two movies back to back, but I think it’s important to give it a little rest in between — and I like doing other things in between.”
