An Ohio family was shocked to discover a hateful message posted underneath fundraiser posters that they had posted for their baby - who is fighting a rare disorder.
Angel Ahlers took to Facebook to share a picture of the sign that her husband KC had shared with her, showing it at the intersection of Talmadge and Sylvania in Toledo, Ohio.
Mamma - Bear - Right - Ahlers - November
'The mamma bear is real furious right now,' Ahlers said in the November 13 post. 'I know there are some screwed up people out there but this is a whole new low.'
The family had shared a number of signs across the city for their son - Randy 'RJ' - who was born with Trisomy 9 Mosaic Syndrome and another condition.
Signs - Donations - Suffers - Condition - Holes
The signs ask for donations and say that the infant suffers from a condition that can create holes in his heart, kidneys and brain.
But underneath them someone posted a red sign that read: 'Stop asking for money. Let the baby die! Its called Darwinism. Happy Holidays!'
Ahlers - Facebook - November - Share - Video
Ahlers took to her Facebook on November 14 to share a video message condemning the sign. She can be seen holding RJ in the clip.
'To the person that posted this sign, I am sorry,' Ahlers said in the video. 'I don't know what's going on in your life to make it so miserable but we are going to ban all your hatred with love.
'Hopefully you're not feeling so miserable but I am taking your sign down and destroying it.'
