Bodies of 12 people found in plastic bags in western Mexico

The hacked-up body parts of at least 12 people found in 33 dumped plastic bags last weekend have been pieced together by forensic experts in Mexico.

Nineteen more bags have yet to be examined, with officials expecting the death toll to rise.

Jalisco - State - Prosecutor - Department - Wednesday

The Jalisco state prosecutor's department said Wednesday that the dead included seven men and five women.

The Jalisco Institute of Forensic Science, which reported its first findings Tuesday, is expected to review the remaining body parts that were found at a private property near a farm in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, a municipality in Guadalajara.
