Duo Behind ‘Billions’ To Develop A New Showtime Series About The Real-Life Drama At Uber

On paper, a series about the inner workings of the ride-sharing platform, Uber, doesn’t necessarily scream must-see TV. However, when you add writers-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien to the mix, suddenly this Uber show seems like it’s going to be incredible and yet another major win for Showtime.

According to Variety, Showtime has agreed to develop an upcoming series from Koppelman and Levien about the behind-the-scenes drama that has painted the early days of Uber. The untitled series, based on Mike Isaac’s book “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber,” tells the story of the beginnings of the silicon valley giant, as it experienced turmoil with its CEO shuffle and all the pitfalls that come with being one of the fastest-growing businesses in tech.
