Maisie Williams told Vogue that playing Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones" made her feel ashamed of her body.

Williams was made to wear a strap across her chest to reverse the effects of puberty, and had her nose shaded to look broader and manlier.

"I felt kind of ashamed for a while," she told the fashion magazine.

Since the HBO series reached its conclusion in May, Williams said she has enjoyed embracing her feminine side in her style choices.

Maisie Williams has revealed the negative impact playing Arya Stark had on her self-esteem and body image.

Actress - Role - Stark - Sister - Game

The actress was cast in the role of the youngest Stark sister on "Game of Thrones" in 2011, when she was just 14, and played the role until she was 22.

But, according to Williams, there were times when dressing as Arya made her feel "ashamed" of her own body - especially as she started to "mature".
