The neutron star, dubbed J0740+6620, is a rapidly spinning object located about 4,600 light-years or 27,041,677,000,000,000 miles from Earth.

Due to its rapid spin, the neutron star emits a powerful beam of magnetic and radio wave radiation or pulsar that is detectable from Earth.
