NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The 18-year-old accused of kidnapping a Nashville high school student and beating him for refusing to join a gang had previously been deported according to the Department of Justice.

U.S. Attorney Don Cochran for the Middle District of Tennessee reports Franklin Pineda-Caceres will face federal charges for entering the country illegally after being deported in 2018.
