A woman who plotted an attack on an Ohio bar with her boyfriend has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and transporting explosives.
Elizabeth Lecron, 24, pleaded guilty to the charge in federal court on Thursday, after cutting a deal with prosecutors. She will now spend 15 years behind bars.
Lecron - Boyfriend - Vincent - Armstrong - Conspiracy
Lecron's boyfriend, 23-year-old Vincent Armstrong, pleaded guilty to a similar conspiracy charge earlier this month.
Prosecutors claim the pair had bomb-making materials and weapons in their home and spent months planning the terror attack before they were arrested in December 2018.
Couple - Bar - Toledo - Attacks - Places
The couple were allegedly targeting a bar in downtown Toledo and had also discussed attacks on several other places, including a pipeline and a livestock farm.
The couple even traveled to Colorado to see the site of the 1999 Columbine High School massacre which left 13 people dead.
Lecron - Armstrong - Columbine - Shooters - Attack
Lecron and Armstrong wanted to emulate the Columbine shooters during their planned attack, prosecutors said.
However, while they were away, the FBI received a tip-off about their plans and raided their residence in Toledo.
AK-47 - Shotgun - Stockpile - Ammunition
They reportedly found an AK-47, a shotgun and a stockpile of ammunition.
Lecron and Armstrong even planned the outfits that they were going to wear during their attack.
Lecron - Shirt - Prophet - Armstrong - Coat
Lecron wanted to don a shirt that said 'False Prophet' while Armstrong reportedly had a trench coat and a T-shirt that said 'society failed us'.
