‘It’ Filmmaker Teases Director’s Cuts & A Two-Film Combined Cut As First Reactions To Horror Sequel Roll In

We are still a couple of weeks away from Pennywise haunting audiences yet again in “It: Chapter Two.” But even still, with all the hype surrounding the sure-thing box office winner, director Andy Muschietti is teasing that there might be more versions of his two films coming in the future.

“The possibilities are open,” Muschietti said in an interview with SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar). “There’s a version where the two movies are cut together. There’s a version where there’s a special director’s cut of number one and a special director’s cut of number two. And I’m happy to basically work on every one of them.”

Warner Bros. had no idea that the modestly-budgeted “It: Chapter One” would go on to become the highest-grossing horror film ever made, so it makes sense that the studio would be interested in making as much cash off the franchise as it can.
