Video shows Oklahoma man lead police on hour-long chase in stolen truck

A man who stole a white pick-up truck led Oklahoma police on a wild hour-long police chase before he crashed into a tree and was finally arrested.

The chase started at 10.45am on Monday in southwest Oklahoma City near SW 134th and Rockwell when troopers pulled over 37-year-old Anthony LeBrun for driving a vehicle that was reported stolen.

But when a cop headed towards LeBrun's car window, he sped off, launching the chase.

Just a week earlier LeBrun, of Choctaw, had shared a disturbing Facebook status announcing he was going to have the Oklahoma City Police Department shoot and kill him and ranted that no one cared about him.

'[A trooper] attempted to stop the vehicle and was going up to make contact with him and the driver took off,' Lt. Kera Philippi of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol aid to KFOR. 'Trooper tried to ahead and pursue'.

LeBrun zoomed into northwest Oklahoma City driving northbound on Lake Hefner Parkway, weaving through traffic along the I-35 highway, aggressively running red lights, pummeling through fences and hitting trees in the woods.

Vehicle - Chase - Damage

Miraculously he only hit one other vehicle in the chase that suffered minor damage.

In the heated chase troopers fired gunshots at the white truck, but they did not hit LeBrun.

Tree - Driveway - White - Tail - Run

Finally, he crashed into a tree in a driveway in the White Tail Run neighborhood and was force to bolt on foot, hiding himself in the middle of the woods.
