Navy identifies Lieutenant Charles Z. Walker as pilot who died in Death Valley fighter jet crash

The Navy has named the pilot killed in the crash of a fighter jet in Death Valley National Park on Wednesday, spreading debris that left a family of seven French tourists with minor injuries.

Lt. Charles Z. Walker, 33, was killed in the crash of his Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet, the Navy said.

Part - Strike - Fighter - Squadron - VFA-151

He was part of Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-151, flying out of Naval Air Station Lemoore, California.

Aside from a black and white photo of the aviator, no additional information was provided about him.
