Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Devin White is mourning the death of his beloved horse after posting an emotional tribute calling her his 'daughter and best friend'.
The linebacker, 21, announced the death of his 'first love' Daisy Mae earlier this month before sharing a tribute to the animal on his Facebook page.

White who is in first season with Tampa Bay, said his 'baby girl' was 'very dehydrated and over heated' and 'fought hard' but that she 'left this beautiful world' on July 20.
In a video posted to his Facebook page he said: 'She reminds me so much of me. And that's a great thing - your daughter got your personality.'

Sharing a series of images of the two of them together White wrote he had been in tears for more than ten hours following the tragic news.
White was comforted by loved ones and fans in the wake of his tragic news with one writing: 'So so sorry for your loss young man - praying for your comfort. I’ve lost one too and it rips your heart out. She looked like a beautiful, sassy girl! I know she loved you as much as you loved her.'
