A three-year-old dog was found abandoned in Connecticut on Friday with a note that read, 'couldn't afford her please help.'
The pit bull named Annabell was picked up by the Norwalk Animal Shelter, who shared images of the canine and the note on Facebook on Sunday.

The note which called the pup 'amazing' was attached to her collar when she was found at Cranbury Park.
Abandoning an animal is a crime in the state of Connecticut, which could have cost the owner up to a $1,000 fine for a first offense if caught, in addition to possible jail time.

She was tied to a tree at the park in Norwalk and left to fend for her itself on a day when the high temperature reached 84 degrees Fahrenheit (about 29 Celsius) by noon in neighboring Stamford.
