Four teenagers may be sentenced as adults after pleading guilty to throwing rocks from a highway overpass before one struck and killed a father-of-one in a van below.

Kenneth White, 32, was a passenger in a work van traveling southbound on I-75 near Vienna Township, Michigan at 8:30pm on October 18 2017.

A group of five teens were throwing rocks from an overpass when one struck White through the windshield, killing him.

Four of the teens, who were under 18 at the time, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in July 2018.

Today - Genesee - County - Circuit - Court

But today, Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Farah rejected a motion to send them to a juvenile detention center, according to CNN affiliate WJRT.

Trevor Gray, Mark Sekelsky, Alexzander Miller and Mikadyn Payne have until August 20 to decide whether to withdraw their guilty pleas to manslaughter, and all will either go to prison, head to trial or seek a new deal for sentencing.
