New York City sneaker lovers were in an uproar on Thursday over exclusive Arizona shoes being sold just for 99 cents.

Arizona Ice Tea shared on social media this week that they would be teaming up with Adidas to release the four shoes - two of the shoe brand's Continental 8- sneakers and two of their Yung-1 sneakers.

Ebay - Shoes - Sale

On Ebay, the shoes are already going on sale for a staggering $400.

The hyped-up event was supposed to have its doors open from 11am to 7pm on Thursday and Friday and was to take place in SOHO Manhattan.

People - Dollar - Bill - Kicks - Pair

People only had to pay $1 - using a singular dollar bill - to get their kicks and were only allowed one pair per guest.

Droves of tea and sneaker aficionados lined up for their pair of sneakers, with lines extending several blocks and wrapped around multiple corners.

Folks - Line - Morning - People - Night

Folks claimed that they had been in line since early that morning and there were even people claiming that they had been waiting since the night before.

One man - who identified himself as William Saravia - told the DailyMail.com that he had been waiting since 5.30pm on Wednesday. Saravia had even secured a special VIP bracelet that was given out to a select few people who waited that early.

Arizona - Others - Media - Event - Served

Arizona, however, told others on social media that there were not 'tickets' and that the event was 'first in, first served.'
