Police called to reports of a young Utah boy advertising 'ice cold beer' found he was actually selling root beer using a clever marketing trick.
Brigham City Police Department said they received a number of phone calls from neighbors and passers-by who saw the youngster holding the sign.

But when law enforcement checked on the drinks stall they found the small print showed the unidentified boy was, in fact, selling root beer.
The sign read: 'ICE COLD BEER' with the word 'root' in very fine print.

Brigham City Police Department posted an image of the boy and said the ploy is working, with business booming.
They wrote: 'This young man, in the area of 600 South 200 East, has a twist on a lemonade stand. Yep, he's selling beer ... ROOT BEER, that is.

'His marketing strategy has resulted in several calls to the BCPD, but apparently its paid off as business has been good.'
Sales have been so good that he is thought to have sold out of the non-alcoholic beverage.
