Grieving widow moved to tears when granddaughter makes her a cartoon figurine of her late husband

A grandmother mourning her late husband has been surprised by her granddaughter who made a cartoon figurine of him for her 80th birthday.

Arlene O'Driscoll, from Wyoming, lost husband Earl when he passed away in January, and granddaughter Cheryl Simpson wanted to create something special to remember him.

Ms Simpson, 25, spends her spare time customizing Funko Pops - figures based around pop culture, and she decided to painstakingly create a version of Earl for Arlene's 80th birthday.

In the uplifting video, shot on June 8, Ms O'Driscoll opens the package in her Wyoming home and turns to the camera saying, 'Oh, it's one of your little characters.'

But little did she know that inside the box was an intricately detailed representation of her husband, who had worked for the United States Forest Service for a number of years.

Spending roughly 12 hours on the model, Ms Simpson had included Earl's uniform, sunglasses and even made him a toy of Smokey the Bear.
