A new type of cable claiming to be the world’s first cross device USB-C charger could do away with the hassle of carrying multiple cords for all of your gear.
After a wildly successful series of Kickstarter campaigns, Sydney-based startup Chargeasap has launched its $22 UNO cable, which comes with three changeable magnetic tips: Lightning, Micro USB & Type C.

That means a single cable can be used to charge your iPhone, tablet, and Nintendo Switch, for example.
The company says the cable will not sacrifice charging speed and it supports data transfer, making for a much more convenient way to travel with an array of devices.

Hands on with the UNO cable, it feels much sturdier than you might expect. The cord itself is braided and connects to the molding with an anti-fray neck.
The magnets, too, are surprisingly strong.

Chargeasap boasts that it’s strong enough to hold up a dangling iPad Air, which weighs 437g. And, while I wouldn’t recommend doing that, numerous uses prove the connection between the cable and the magnetic tips certainly isn’t flimsy.
