Robert Downey, Jr. Rallies The Marvel Fans For One Last ‘Endgame’ Box Office Push But It’s Probably Not Enough

As of the most recent numbers, “Avengers: Endgame” currently sits about $37 million behind “Avatar” for the all-time worldwide box office crown. When we’re talking about the difference between $2.751 billion (‘Endgame’) and $2.788 billion (“Avatar”), this doesn’t seem like a huge mountain to climb. But then again, $37 million is still $3 million more than the entire domestic run of “The Favourite” from last year. So, you know, it’s not insignificant.

Seemingly, it’s this desire for box office record supremacy that is partially driving Marvel Studios to “re-release” (Quote-unquote, due to the fact it never left theaters. It’s more of a re-expansion, but I digress.) “Avengers: Endgame” with several minutes of additional footage used for a new post-credits scene. And with that in mind, Iron Man himself, Robert Downey, Jr, has decided to take to social media to rally the troops and get ‘Endgame’ over that “Avatar” hump.
