Kim Jong-un's singer ex-girlfriend seen alongside North Korean dictator after she was 'executed'

A North Korean pop star feared executed by her ex-boyfriend, ruler Kim Jong-un, is alive.

Hyon Song-wol, who is known for propaganda hits like ‘Excellent Horse-Like Lady,’ was seen this week touring factories with Chairman Kim, the Sunday Times of London reported.

Hyon is the 42-year-old lead singer of Moranbong Band, an all-women ensemble.

She is also a member of the central committee of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea, which of course is chaired by Kim.

‘Excellent Horse-Like Lady’ is a 2005 hit song that is regarded as a tribute to North Korea’s hardworking textile employees.

Hyon was photographed next to Kim as they visited factories. They were also side by side while watching the Mass Games gymnastics performance.

Reports - Kim - Hyon - Execution - Sex

There were reports that in 2013 Kim ordered Hyon’s execution after she allegedly made a sex tape.

Hyon was rumored to have been shot by firing squad alongside dozens of singers and dancers.

Hyon - Television - Newspaper - Reports - Death

But Hyon was then seen on television after newspaper reports of her death appeared in the South Korean press.

North Korean officials denied the reports at the time, labeling the rumors the work of the South Korean government and media.

But South Korea’s own spy chief Nam Jae-joon ignited reports again when he was quoted as saying 'We are aware of the execution of some 10 people associated with the Unhasu Orchestra,' in October.

The Korean singer was seen delivering a speech at a national art workers rally in Pyongyang in May 2014.
