Actress Paz de la Huerta was rushed to hospital on Sunday after she allegedly locked herself in the room of a Manhattan building.

The New York native, 34, was rushed from an Upper West Side building to a nearby hospital around late afternoon after a third party called 911 to report 'an emotionally disturbed person' who needed help.

TMZ - Reports - Caller - Bedroom - NYPD

TMZ reports that the 911 caller said she had locked herself in a bedroom and wanted the NYPD to respond so she could receive medical attention.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene quickly and transported Paz to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Condition - Point - Hospitalization

It is unclear what her condition is at this point or what led to her hospitalization.

However it comes after a turbulent period for the troubled actress, after she filed a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein in November over her allegation that he raped her twice in her New York apartment in 2010.

Suit - Weinstein - Influence - Huerta - Job

The suit also speculates that Weinstein used his influence to get de la Huerta fired from her job on Boardwalk Empire in 2012. Her character Lucy Danziger did not appear after the show's second season.

She reportedly has not worked much since the allegations against Harvey Weinstein surfaced, but has been spotted out and about with friends in New York where she lives.

The legal action seeking unspecified damages comes a year after the Boardwalk Empire star gave interviews publicly accusing Weinstein of the rapes.
