Police under fire in Robert Kraft sex spa sting as suit claims 48 people were filmed or surveilled

The man suing the Jupiter Police Department and Palm Beach County State Attorney's office after learning he was under surveillance during a visit to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa is adding over a dozen new defendants in his amended complaint.

That John Doe is now looking to take a class-action lawsuit to federal court in West Palm Beach, claiming in his new filing that he believes there are 17 other men and women who were recorded by police against their will.

Doe - People - Damages - Case

It is then noted that Doe believes there are 31 people who will be seeking punitive damages in the case.

These claims are all coming from the original Doe however, and non of the other John or Jane Does have attached themselves to the suit at this time.

Police - Citizens - Knowledge

Police meanwhile have claimed just four law-abiding citizens were taped without their knowledge.

A complaint filed in federal court last Monday by attorneys Edward Mullins of Reed Smith and Joe Tacopania of The Law Offices of Tacopina & Seigel on behalf of a John Doe, accuses authorities of violating Doe's Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable search and seizure, Fourteenth Amendment right to procedural due process, and constitutional right to privacy.

Doe - Spa - January - Massage - Sex

Doe states that he was visiting the spa on January 19 for a massage that did not include any manual or oral sex act from a spa employee.

The filing, which was submitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, goes on to state that Doe had a reasonable expectation of privacy as he undressed inside the spa and then received a massage while in the nude.

He is now seeking monetary, punitive and exemplary damages while demanding that no copy of any of the tapes showing men inside the spa be released to the press or public.
