Teen severely injured after 'jumping from fourth floor balcony' inside Boston courthouse

A Massachusetts teenager has been seriously injured after apparently jumping from an interior balcony at a Boston courthouse.

The juvenile - who has not been named by police - jumped from a balcony facing an inner atrium down to the first floor at the Edward W. Brooke courthouse, according to Massachusetts State Police spokesman Dave Procopio.

Witness - Years

A witness described him being aged between 13 and 16 years old.

He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where police say he is in a stable condition.

Teen - Courthouse - Court - Appearance - Arrest

The teen came to the courthouse for a juvenile court appearance after a recent arrest on domestic violence charges, police said.

He was not in police custody when the incident occurred, according to Procopio.

Henry - Monroig - Pastor - Hyssop - Ministry

Henry Monroig, a senior pastor at Hyssop Ministry in Boston, was in the courthouse Monday morning when the incident happened.
