Prosecutors have released new bodycam footage showing Conor McGregor being placed in handcuffs in Miami Beach, after he allegedly smashed and stole a fan's phone during an altercation outside a hotel last month.

The police video shows the UFC legend being calmly escorted from a private residence to the side of a police car, where he is handcuffed and then placed in the back-seat.

Martial-artist - Count - Robbery - Charge - Mischief

The 30-year-old mixed martial-artist has been charged with one count of robbery and one charge of mischief after he allegedly became entangled in a dispute with Ahmed Abdirzak, 22, who was trying to take a photo with him, on March 11.

Speaking to, Abdirzak said he was ‘scared’ for his life when a snarling McGregor apparently flew into a rage and 'punched' his iPhone 8 out of his hand, outside of the Fontainebleau Hotel.

Restaurant manager Ahmed then looked on in disbelief as McGregor picked up the handset and hurled it to the floor before stamping on it repeatedly.

The Irishman then picked up the smashed phone and slipped it into his pocked before casually strolling back to SUV - laughing and adopting the signature McGregor swagger strut.

Abdirzak said the phone contained footage of the incident. The chain of events was also captured on the hotel’s surveillance cameras.

'He walked away with that trademark McGregor strut that you see him enter the ring with in UFC,' Ahmed told in an exclusive interview.

'I'm not going to lie, I was scared for my life – the guy is a lethal weapon.'

McGregor was arrested just hours later, before being released on a $12,500 bond. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Abdirzak filed a civil suit against McGregor that has since been dropped after the pair reached an out-of-court settlement.
