Amazon and Netflix aren’t anticipated to have any feature films at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but that isn’t preventing at least one of them from having a presence. Deadline is reporting that Amazon is ready to send Nicolas Winding Refn over to France with his upcoming TV series “Too Old to Die Young” as a special screening at the festival.
The report says that Refn’s upcoming crime thriller, starring Miles Teller, is likely to become the third TV series to ever have a special screening at the prestigious event. “Too Old to Die Young” would join David Lynch’s latest season of “Twin Peaks” and Jane Campion’s “Top of the Lake” as the only series to ever be featured at the film festival.
