Lindsay Lohan has long said her 'dream role' would be Ariel in The Little Mermaid.

And the former Disney actress seemed very surprised to learn that Lea Michele will portray Ariel in the Hollywood Bowl's 'live-to-film' rendition of The Little Mermaid this summer.

After TheDisneyPrincesses Instagram announced the cast of performers who will be singing The Little Mermaid songs live over the 1989 animated film, Lohan seemed to take exception, leaving a comment that said: 'Huh?'

Lohan said in a now-deleted Instagram post from August that Ariel was, 'My dream Role with #merylstreep.'

It seems Lohan was confusing this Hollywood Bowl performance for Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid that has been in development for some time.

Michele is not actually portraying Ariel, but singing her songs live for The Hollywood Bowl crowd, while the 1989 animated film plays in the background.
