Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried sign on to voice Fred and Daphne in new Scooby-Doo animated movie

Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried have come aboard to provide the voices of Fred and Daphne in Warner Animation Group's new Scooby-Doo movie, Scoob.

Efron and Seyfried join a cast that already include Will Forte as Shaggy and Gina Rodriguez as Velma, according to Deadline.

The cast also includes Tracy Morgan voicing Captain Caveman, with Frank Welker, who voiced Scooby-Doo in the original cartoons, returning to voice the beloved pooch.

This new animated adventure will follow the Mystery Inc. gang as they team up with other characters from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon universe, to battle the villainous Dick Dastardly.

The Dick Dastardly villain has yet to be cast, and there is no indication what other characters from Hanna-Barbera cartoons will be present.

Tracy Morgan's character Captain Caveman had an animated series dubbed Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels that ran from 1977 to 1980.

The project was first announced back in October by Variety, along with another new project from Warner Animation Group, a big screen version of Tom & Jerry.
