A Kansas woman is grateful to be alive after she dodged a bullet that hit her home Saturday.

Constance Effie, 70, believes it could have pierced through her property if it wasn't for a metal, framed copy of the Lord's Prayer.

Item - Feet - Wheel - Fortune

She said the item blocked it from coming through just two feet away from where she was sitting down to watch Wheel of Fortune.

'It just means [God] is looking out for us,' Effie told FOX4KC while clutching the framed prayer.

Effie - Husband - Home - Time - Attack

Effie's husband was also home at the time of the attack.

She says people are always firing bullets in her neighborhood but when one actually struck her house she thought the area had been hit by a bomb.

Boom - War - Zone - Noise - Effie

'All of a sudden "boom". I thought I was in a war zone because that was the loudest noise I ever heard,' Effie continued.

'We looked all around and didn't see a hole anywhere. I thought, "Look, that picture, the glass is all broken",' she said....
