Thanks to a series of failed attempts to shorten the length of the broadcast and goose falling ratings, the Academy Awards head into Sunday night with plenty of negative press and a lot of question marks. But as the old cliche states, the show must go on! And fortunately, this year's Oscars ceremony could make history in a number of ways (and not just because it's the first time the show will have no host in 30 years). Will Alfonso Cuarón's Roma not only become the first foreign-language film to ever win Best Picture — but also the first time a Netflix movie takes the top award? Can Marvel's Black Panther buck 91 years of tradition and become the only comic book movie to earn a Best Picture trophy?
