Aaron Sorkin Has 'No Plans' to Revive The Newsroom After All

The Newsroom was intriguing enough in its own time, so it's not hard to imagine the relevance of the show in today's political broadcasting climate. In an era when news anchors barely have time to finish a segment before more news breaks, the pressures of putting together a comprehensive show are especially intense right now and would produce some juicy storylines.

So when Olivia Munn, who starred as Sloan Sabbith in all three seasons of the hit HBO series, indicated that a revival of The Newsroom was nigh, it wasn't hard to believe.

Week - Actress - ET - Online - Conversations

Last week, the actress told ET Online that she'd had "conversations" with co-star Tom Sadoski and creator Aaron Sorkin about potentially reviving the series. "He's very busy," Munn said of Sorkin, "but we have very high hopes that it would be able to come together, hopefully."

However, Sorkin himself has now put that rumor to rest.

Monday - Episode - Late - Late - Show

Appearing on Monday's episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Sorkin said, plainly, that he has "no plans" to revive the show, although he does understand the interest.
