A 66-year-old woman suffering from multiple dog bites was found dead outside her Texas home last week.
Houston police were sent to the home of Elaine Richman on Friday to conduct a welfare check around 8am.

Authorities conducted the welfare check after it was reported that Richman had missed two dog training classes.
When authorities arrived to the residence in the 12800 block of Susanna Lane, they found Richman in the backyard with dog bites on her face, arms and hands.

Richman, who taught dog obedience classes, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Houston Fire Department.
Detectives also found two Doberman Pinschers inside the home.

According to people who worked with Richman, she was training her dogs for American Kennel Club (AKC) obedience titles.
Authorities did not say if those dogs were responsible for the bites on the woman’s body or her death.

Police also haven't revealed the status of the dogs as of Monday evening.
According to Chron.com, Richman died of sharp force injuries, and her death has been ruled accidental.
