A fighting-mad cow charged a police officer who shot the brazen bovine during its attempted escape from a slaughterhouse in Kansas.

Police responded to a call in downtown Valley Center, Kansas, on Thursday of an escaped cow 'not in a mooood to be caught,' according to the Valley Center Department of Public Safety's Facebook post.

Animal - Train - Tracks - Officers - Traffic

The animal ended up on some train tracks as officers tried to keep it from disrupting traffic, and when an officer attempted to herd it off the railroad, the cow charged him leading the officer to shoot it in response.

The officer was not hurt in the encounter, and the cow appeared to be 'unfazed' as it continued off into some fields.
