Noomi Rapace revealed she was forced to quit working in a play at the age of 20 after the director made unwanted advances against her.
The actress, 39, was speaking candidly in an interview with the Daily Telegraph on Friday, when she explained how she refused to 'play mistress' for the man.

Admitting that it was 'like the actresses were a buffet' at the time, she said: 'I never gave myself to him, which provoked him so much. He became really aggressive and angry.'
'I just thought that was the way it was, because you saw so many situations like that around you.'

While she called the incident an 'early wake-up call', she added: 'There's so much desperation in the acting world and a lot of people will do anything to get a part, it's dangerous.'
Noomi left home when she was 14 to live with her boyfriend near city Malmö, which she explained had 'insanely high' incidents of rape, and led the actress to start training in martial arts.
