James Franco Settles ‘The Disaster Artist’ Lawsuit With His Former Student

James Franco and a former student in Franco’s UCLA film class have resolved their legal dispute.

Student Ryan Moody filed a lawsuit in March 2018 against Franco’s production company, Rabbit Bandini Productions, and Seth Rogen’s production company, Point Grey Pictures.

Moody was allegedly deceived by Franco and gave up the rights to five early drafts of “The Disaster Artist” scripts for a paltry $5,000, according to Variety. Moody was supposedly asked by Franco to adapt the book in 2013 and was later replaced...
