Two spoiled cats are living in their own $1,500-a-month studio apartment in San Francisco's Silicon Valley.

Troy Good, 43, rented the place for his daughter Victoria Amith's beloved cats Tina and Louise after she went to college and couldn't take the pets with her.

After he also moved house and his partner's dog didn't get along with them, getting the felines their own space seemed like a sensible idea, reports the Mercury News.

Landlord David Callisch, who works in marketing and checks in on the cats daily to feed them, said his unusual renters are well behaved but do 'stink the place up.'

San - Jose - Area - California - Rent

In the San Jose area of California rent prices for a similar place are on average around $1,951 meaning Mr Good's monthly bill for keeping the cats is quite a steal.

The average price for a one-bedroom flat is $2,364 and an apartment with two bedrooms costs around $2,877, according to RentCafe.
