Petcube unveils new Alexa-enabled pet cameras at CES including $249 device that will fling treats

Petcube’s latest smart cameras will do a lot more than keep tabs on your pets.

At CES in Las Vegas this week, the firm unveiled its Petcube Bites 2 and Petcube Play 2 cameras, both of which have Amazon's Alexa assistant built in.

This means that along with dispensing treats or snapping photos of your animals, Petcube’s cameras will also be able to play music, tell you the weather, and connect to other smart home devices.

The two new cameras feature a number of improvements from past models, including an extended wide angle lens that can show you a 180-degree view of the room.

Petcube Bites 2 and Petcube Play 2 also have two-way audio, a four-microphone array, and 5Ghz WiFi support.

The cameras also both feature a cameras that boast 1080p HD video, 4x digital zoom, and night vision.
