The semi final of Great British Bake Off on Tuesday night saw Kim-Joy in tears over chocolate mousse as the four bakers battled for a place in the grand finale.
Ruby, Rahul, Briony, and Kim-Joy were given monumental tasks to complete including the longest ever Technical challenge - creating a torta setteveli cake in three and a half hours.

The seven layered cake proved to be a step too far for Kim-Joy who declared she was ready to leave the tent when she couldn't make the chocolate mousse, leaving viewers heartbroken.
The torta setteveli, which judge Prue Leith admitted was 'near impossible' to make, had seven layers: two of chocolate Genoise sponge, two ‘silky smooth’ hazelnut Bavarois, a crunchy praline base, and a chocolate-glazed mousse on top.

The mousse had Kim-Joy unstuck as she couldn't get her mixture thick enough.
'It's a bit liquid but I don't know how to get it thicker,' she panicked before desperately trying to whisk it back to life.

'I just don't know how to make a chocolate mousse, that's it I'm going home,' she said teary-eyed.
'I think I'm just ready to go home now. I've never made a chocolate mousse,' she added as host Noel Fielding rushed over to offer some moral support.
