President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that there was no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea.

Trip - Everybody - Day - Office - Threat

"Just landed – a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea," Trump tweeted. "Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!"

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un has yet to dispose nuclear weapons or their ballistic missiles that have the ability to strike the United States.

Week - Summit - Singapore - Trump - US

During this week's summit in Singapore, Trump became the first U.S. president to meet face-to-face with a North Korean head of state. The Trump administration has pushed for North Korea to denuclearize, while promising security and prosperity in return. The joint statement Trump and Kim signed gave few details on how the two countries will move forward with denuclearization of the peninsula.
