A couple have been sentenced for handling 11 stolen Cavalier King Charles Spaniels after they were taken from their breeder in a 'devastating' raid.
Bridget Darling, 40, and her husband Barry, 51, were handed 16 and 12-month suspended prison sentences at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday.

They admitted handling stolen goods after 15 of the spaniels went missing in a raid on commercial breeder Madeline Cowling's home in September 2015.
Eleven of them were found at the Darlings' home, but four others were never found. Among the hounds was a pregnant female.

She said: 'We are just King Charles Cavalier crazy, we've never known life without them - it has just destroyed us.'...
